Government Grants: 2001 - 2008
Micromine has received three grants totalling over $9 million from AusIndustry, the Australian government’s business division of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Received over a period of seven years, the grants have been used for the development of Ore Tracker, DOME, and most recently, MasterMine. MasterMine is a mining software platform that will significantly reduce the cost of data management and mine production. It is expected to be released in 2010.
Austmine Craig Senger Top Exporter Award 2009

Mining Magazine Awards: 2009
At the 2009 Mining Magazine Awards, Micromine was successful in the category of Mine Planning and Resource Modelling for PITRAM 3. Renowned as a high profile award in the mining industry, the annual Mining Magazine Awards recognises technology and mining equipment that is deemed as significant to the industry for the respective year.
BRW ANZ Private Business Awards: 2009
The BRW ANZ Private Business Awards are a joint collaboration between BRW and ANZ Corporate Banking. They recognise the most outstanding private businesses in Australia. Micromine’s strength in the global market has been rewarded through its success in the category of “Most Successful Private Business Trading Overseas”.
Australia Latin America Business Excellence Awards: 2009
The Australia Latin America Business Excellence Awards celebrate Australian companies conducting business within Latin America. During 2009, Micromine responded to local market demand and opened a new office in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Micromine’s finalist position acknowledges our strength and expanding presence within the market.
Western Australian Industry Export Awards: 2009/2008
At the 2009/2008 Western Australian Industry Export Awards, Micromine was awarded the prestigious C.Y. O’Connor Award for Excellence in Engineering and Technology. Micromine secured a finalist position in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Export category in 2009 and won the award in 2008.
The C.Y O’Connor Award for Excellence in Engineering and Technology recognised Micromine’s commitment to commercialized technological innovation. The Australian Mining Prospect Awards: 2009/2008
Micromine was a finalist in The Australian Mining Prospect Awards in the category of ‘Innovative Mining Solutions’ for its mine production control software solution, PITRAM. The award category recognised those with a mining solution that has led to real mining improvements.
iAwards: 2009
Micromine was awarded a certificate of Merit at the prestigious iAwards in the MAAT Solutions Industrial Application category. The category showcases software or hardware products that deliver improved outcomes in industrial processes or activity. Administered by the Australian Information Industry Association, the iAwards are recognised as Australia’s leading Information Communications Technologies (ICT) Industry awards. Micromine was awarded for its PITRAM solution.

Micromine was positioned in the BRW Fast 100 which ranks Australian companies with up to 200 staff according to their average annual turnover growth over three years.
