MRS Helian Connector for Equipment and Personnel Tracking

Mine Radio Systems (MRS) increase safety, productivity and profitability in the mining and tunnelling industries. The MRS Helian underground safety and monitoring system also provides real-time tracking of tags linked to personnel, equipment and other on-site assets.

The MRS Helian Connector is used to integrate the MRS with Pitram functionality. Real-time tag position updates recorded in the MRS system are forwarded by the Connector to Pitram for further processing.

 

The positioning data is then used in Pitram 3D Mine to visualise underground personnel and equipment movements. Additional safety and production monitoring benefits , for example the mapping of tag reader locations to Pitram Waypoints, can be realised. Pitram can also be configured to generate alarms when tag movements are detected in an unauthorised area of the mine. Ore security can also be ensured by tag monitoring. For example, an alarm can be raised in the control room if a truck or a loader has been detected carrying material to the wrong destination.

Through the deployment of the MRS Helian Connector, mines that have both MRS and Pitram systems in place can quickly and efficiently integrate the two.

Mine Site Technologies (MST) ICA Connector

Mine Site Technologies (MST) design and manufacture communication systems used to increase safety, productivity and profitability in the mining and tunnelling industries. MST ICA underground safety and monitoring systems provide, among other features, the real-time tracking of tags linked to personnel, equipment and other on-site assets.

Pitram integrates with the Mine Site Technologies (MST) ICA system to automatically record equipment and personnel positioning information recorded by the (MST) ICA underground network. The data from the ICA database is automatically brought into Pitram by mapping tags or access points to Pitram waypoints. These waypoints can be used to trigger business rules or logic that control how equipment and personnel activities, including equipment status changes, are recorded.

Ore security can also be ensured via tag movement monitoring. For example, an alarm can be raised in the control room if a truck or a loader has been detected carrying material to the wrong destination.

Real-time data collection and the 3D visualisation capabilities of Pitram can contribute significantly to the decision-making process. Pitram integration via the (MST) ICA connector ensures that onsite technology and hardware is better utilised on-site, thereby increasing the value of the investment in underground network infrastructure.

Sandvik MPM Connector

The Sandvik MPM Connector gives a mining operation real-time access to the data that is collected automatically via Sandvik loading and hauling equipment.

Payload, tramming times and draw-point status can be integrated directly into Pitram from the Sandvik MPM system without any user interaction. This data can then be combined with the non-MPM personnel and equipment data recorded by Pitram, to provide a complete overview of the current state of the mining operation. MPM data is automatically transferred to the Pitram Reporting database ensuring a single point of production reporting.

Integrating Sandvik MPM data into Pitram ensures that there is a single data source for draw control and shift planning applications, even when some units in the mining fleet are not equipped with a functioning MPM system.

Weighbridge Connector

Pitram Weighbridge Connectivity can be used to augment data that is entered directly into Pitram, captured via equipment payload systems, or calculated using truck and bucket factor calculations. Information from these sources can be compared to validate the accuracy of weighbridge data, which can then be used as the “true” values for reporting and stockpile management purposes.

Pitram integrates directly with the databases used by weighbridge systems and as a result is able to access additional information provided by such systems, for example, equipment operator, source location, dump destination, material type, etc.

Pitram can also gain access to data from train weighbridges and has the capability to differentiate between multiple train wagons, travelling over multiple weighbridges, to record payloads for individual wagons. The system employs a mix of RFID tagging, tag exciters and equipment cycle states to record tare and loaded weights. This information is then used to calculate wagon payload and cycle times. Utilising this functionality avoids the need for human input in the monitoring of train haulage operations.

 

Loadman Connector

The Loadman Connector records payload data in real-time directly from loading and hauling equipment and into Pitram. Integration via the Loadman Connector ensures that Pitram always has up-to-date and accurate data from the loading and hauling fleet.

Terex TRIPS Connector

The Terex TRIPS Connector records (payload and truck cycle) data in real-time directly from hauling equipment and into Pitram. Integration via the Terex TRIPS Connector ensures that Pitram always has up-to-date and accurate performance data from the loading and hauling fleet.

BelAZ SKZ Connector

The BelAZ SKZ Connector enables key equipment data (payload, fuel level and truck cycles) recorded in real-time to be taken directly from hauling equipment into Pitram. Integration via the BelAZ SKZ Connector ensures that Pitram always has up-to-date and accurate performance data from the loading and hauling fleet.

VEI HelperX Connector

The VEI HelperX Connector records payload data in real-time directly from loading and hauling equipment and into Pitram. Integration via the HelperX Connector ensures that Pitram always has up-to-date and accurate data from the loading and hauling fleet.

 

Caterpillar VIMS Connector
